*FIXED!* Help me fix my laptop!

UPDATE: I reinstalled Windows and now it works fine. Thanks to everyone for their advise. 
—————- Long story short, I found my old laptop and I was wondering if there was any way of fixing it myself without having to fork over about 0 for a repair. If you know what the problem is, or have a solution to fix it, write a comment. I’ll try my best to read/respond to them all.

This is a driver problem. Please run windows repair using OEM disk. This is probably b/c of an installation that failed or HD is failing causing file corruption.

what happend was in bios the reboot computer on windows and power related errors setting was on and when the power shut off that was a power faliure and windows then gltched but if that setting was off it would not keep rebooting so that was you problem and if not which it may have been then thats whyit could have also been caused by a corrupt version of windows on there

I recommend to download a LiveCD, and save your files, after you must format your Disc hard…reinstall win xp again..good luck !

i had the same problem with my d620, i reinstalled windows xp and it works great
then i upgraded it, the RAM, harddrive, OS to win 7 and DVD+RW
What if your laptop says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key what key do u press ?
My laptop just started doing that today how can I fix it?????
What do you do if you have this problem and your disc drive is broken too
try reinstalling windows looks like the os is corrupt – fails to boot

there easy to build and fixing that laptop would be easy pop the XP disk in there format install and there fixed! weird how people buy whole new computers when that happens! lol

boot in safe mode

just log in bios settings
and change the hard disk controyler type
if is on raide mode then change to other
