Send me a message or check out www.FastVideoTech.com If you plan on working on your laptop, please take notes and take your time. This video makes things look very easy. Some connectors will fall apart easier than they will disconnect and can take several minutes to slowly work apart. It is VERY easy to break small components that are expensive to replace. Depending on your individual skill level you may have more of a chance breaking something than fixing something. If your laptop is important to you, please let an experienced technician handle it. I have over 10 years experience working with computers. I will try my best to answer questions but please keep them related to the video and the work being done. Thank you for watching! @FastVideoTech Thanks! By the way, I was wondering what was on your wrists. Did figure it out until doing a bit of research on ESD. Damn carpet!
WTF!!!!! I have to disassemble the whole laptop to just change a fucking fan
thats all went great how do i replace adpter for power cord it worn out
part on motherboard
@TobiasBoon1980 I use a program called hwmonitor or cpuid. They are free on download dot com. Good luck!
11:45 How do you check the temp?
and the fan span on post, for me this was good as i saved allot of money and and did not need to replace fans or take the laptop to bits, after i saw this vid i said there must be an easier way to fix a laptop and i did ,a thin knife and a bit of common sense,if you fans stop spining and your dell 1525 is overheating just do what i did,it takes about 20 -30 secs and right now the dell is running very cool and no shut downs
my cousin dell 1525 kept on overheating,i replaced the thermal paste cleaned the heat grills and it still overheated, watched this vid and saw where the fan is based,i thought lets look through the small slits to see if the fan was spining and it was not,i got a knife and put it into the slits where the fan is and started to push the knife on the top of the fan and kept on pushing to turn the fan anfter a while of pushing the fan span against the direction i was pushing against, turn laptop on
great video!
@iojocojou1 the same thing happened with me man, i opened mine up to clean the heat sink and i didnt know how to get to the fan so i just blew air duster into it and prodded it with a q-tip and i got a massive ball of lint and dust
I will have to say that my fan was giving me problems but when i opened the fan I realized that it had a ball full of dirt inside of it. I took that out and the fan started working. I wonder how many fans stop working because of that same issue,
Great video BTW..
Whoa. This is a lot of effort to replace the fan. I’m sure I would ruin something else in the process.
@TheStevesherman the old dell’s are really crappy.. im using one right now and the battery is dead
Holy Crap! Just to replace the fan!? What ass hat engineered this?
@WAFFLES7795 I would be happy to replace the fan for you at my shop. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!
